Four directions for the home page.
Same words in all four, so the only thing changing is the look. Open each one, live with it for a minute, and tell us which one feels like Harry’s drawings. We build the rest of the site from there.
Cottage
Mary Engelbreit
The one you named in the proposal. Checkerboards, cherries, thick black outlines, everything in a frame. Warm and traditional.
Cut Paper
Picture book, torn paper
Shapes torn out of painted paper, handwriting for the big lines, and a lot of quiet space around everything. Feels like a book read at bedtime.
Retro
Mid-century kids' book
Flat shapes, a short list of colors, big confident type, halftone dots. The cleanest of the set, and the easiest to keep tidy as the catalogue grows.
Hardcover
The nicer picture book
The kind of children's book you find in a museum shop. A soft serif, a lot of room around everything, thin lines, and the art set on a quiet colored page. The most grown-up of the four.
The cards and Wilson are your real ones, brought over from the current site. This is a preview that search engines can’t see, and the Wix site keeps running the whole time.
